Community Engagement for AEC Projects
Jon Schmid, President of Cook + Schmid and a community engagement expert, will lead 20 of us in a lively discussion.

Public outreach is no longer just a requirement at the end of a project; it is a critical strategy for building trust, reducing risk, and improving project outcomes.

This SMPS roundtable will explore why meaningful engagement matters, especially as projects face increasing scrutiny from communities, agencies, and stakeholders.

Participants will learn:

  1. How outreach can support entitlement, design, permitting, construction coordination, and reputation management
  2. Practical approaches for communicating complex projects
  3. How to listen to community concerns and convert public input into better project results
