Sports are more than entertainment—they are economic drivers, cultural landmarks, and engines of urban renewal. In San Diego, sports-related projects are shaping the city’s identity and creating opportunities for firms across the AEC spectrum. This program explores where design, development, and strategy intersect in the business of sports.

Key discussion areas include:

  • Iconic Projects: Behind-the-scenes perspectives on stadiums, arenas, and recreational facilities.
  • Community & Economic Impact: How sports developments influence neighborhoods, tourism, and local businesses.
  • Design & Innovation: Challenges unique to sports projects, including sustainability, fan experience, safety, and flexibility.
  • Opportunities for AEC Professionals: Where marketers and business developers can plug in, build relationships, and add value in a growing market.
