What a night! The 2026 SMPS San Diego Palm Awards brought our AEC marketing and business development community together for an evening of celebration, connection, and some seriously impressive work.
This year, we received 33 submissions and presented 16 awards recognizing standout marketing, communications, business development, and industry leadership.

We couldn't celebrate great work without thanking the 2026 Palm Awards jury: Bennett Peji, Jessica Kimbrell, Jennifer Crawford, Assoc DBIA, Tom Mitchell, and Deirdre Booth, FSMPS, CPSM. Their expertise and thoughtful review helped make this year's awards truly special.

From the lively stage presence of our judges, especially Jen Crawford and her epic Oscars selfie, to an unexpected hair-gel battle between Marty and Tom, there was no shortage of memorable moments. Guests also struck a pose at the photobooth, sporting props like "Dancing Queens" and "Future CEO;" and enjoyed fantastic service from the Phil's BBQ team. A few lucky attendees also took home fabulous raffle prizes including a spa kit, Lusardi wine, Padres tickets, and gear ready for summer adventures.
